THE MENSTRUAL HEALTH PEER EDUCATION PROGRAMME
The Menstrual Health Peer Education Programme is designed to ignite a passion for menstrual health and equity, empowering schoolgirls to become knowledgeable leaders and change-makers in their schools and communities.
Over the course of an engaging four-week training, selected participants dive deep into key topics such as menstruation, menstrual hygiene, period poverty, and stigma, all while building essential advocacy, leadership and peer education skills. By the end of the programme, these girls emerge as certified peer educators, ready to lead school-wide campaigns, host impactful outreach events, and distribute menstrual products to their peers.
This programme fosters a culture of open dialogue, empowering girls to take charge of their own menstrual health while driving positive change in their communities. By equipping them with the tools to challenge stigma and promote menstrual equity, we are nurturing a generation of girls who are not only advocates of their rights but also advocates for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Together, we are creating a period-positive school environment, one where menstruation is embraced, stigma is shattered, and girls are empowered to lead the charge for a brighter, more equitable future.
