VOLUNTEER

Hello there!

Thank you for your interest in joining our team. Our diverse community of volunteers are the heart of The EME Foundation, and they keep us up and running.

As an EME volunteer, you will be at the fore of social change and a commitment to advancing menstrual  equity. We work with our community’s most vulnerable. Therefore, we ask that you are someone who shares our values of diversity, inclusion and respect.

Whether you are interested in helping us take our period products to girls in need or educating communities about menstruation, the most important skill anyone can have, which is what we are looking for in you, is a genuine passion for humanity’s cause.

At The EME, we consider everyone a leader. Therefore, successful applications are usually from people who can take initiative and stay committed to assigned tasks.

We are excited to welcome male and female applicants residing in Nigeria. All applicants must be based in Abuja, Lagos, Ado-Ekiti, Ibadan, or Ondo.

Please note:

  • Availability: Weekday availability is essential for all volunteer roles. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate volunteers who are only available on weekends.
  • On-site Presence: All volunteer roles require physical attendance at designated locations. We do not offer remote volunteering opportunities.
  • Membership T-shirt: Accepted volunteers in Abuja, Ibadan, Ondo, Ado-Ekiti and Lagos (except photographers and videographers) must purchase The EME Foundation’s official membership T-shirt for ₦6,000. Payment is required only after a successful application and flexible installment plans are available.
  • No Monetary Compensation: As a volunteer-run, public-donation-funded organisation, we are unable to provide monetary compensation, including transport allowances. However, we greatly appreciate the invaluable time, dedication, and passion our volunteers contribute through other means, as they are integral to driving our mission and making a meaningful impact in underserved communities.
  • Fundraising Commitment: Fundraising Commitment: Each volunteer is expected to actively engage in the Foundation’s fundraising campaigns by mobilising and persuading their friends, family, and broader network to contribute financially, thereby supporting their Chapter in achieving its designated fundraising target.
